I have decided to take part in #marchmeetthemaker over on Instagram…
'March 1st (lil late): YOU - I always enjoy seeing/learning about the maker behind some of my favourite artists...so here is a little about me :) My name is Caitlín Megan Law, I am 26 and I live and work in Norwich, UK. I created my brand Soodle Street last year as a platform to create my recycled paper illustrations ♻️. I quit my job in retail to pursue something that excites and challenges me! My favourite decision to date 😀. It's been about a year of feeling my way into the world of illustration and now things are starting to take shape - thank you for all your kind words and interest in my work! 🤗. When I am not cutting and sticking ✂️ I love traveling, art history, exploring my new home of Norfolk, reading, cat-bothering and I am a bit of a foodie. I can also be found working at a lovely independent arts cinema which is a very sweet job that makes me feel very lucky to be able to pass hours talking about and watching great indie films! Look forward to reading about some of you other great makers! 🙌'
I think this is a really great way to find out more about the 'behind the scenes' of your favourite makers and artists. Follow me @soodle_street to learn more about me and my brand this month! Use #marchmeetthemaker to share about you and to find out about others. We should all celebrate our hard work - working for yourself by creating your own ideas is the most fun, but also the most challenging!
I am so pleased with how these Norwich pubs have turned out! Can't wait to exhibit them next month at the Norwich Playhouse! I am looking forward to getting them enlarged, printed and framed…I think I feel a new poster design coming on!
